 In its simplest form missio Dei means God’s mission for the church within the world. If the church is that fellowship of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, crafted and empowered by the Holy Spirit, guided by the Word of God, and called to glorify God, it is this best as it represents and promotes God’s redemptive plan in the world in which it resides.
At Scofield we take this challenge very seriously. As such we are quite intentional about engaging our local community with the person of Jesus Christ. Not stopping there, we are deliberate about proclaiming Jesus Christ globally. Indeed, you can’t spend much time at Scofield without knowing this is a core part of this church’s culture.
