Born in Jos,
Nigeria to missionary
parents, Meg grew up in West Africa where she
had all her schooling through high school. Upon graduation, she attended
LeTourneau University in Longview, TX
graduating with a BA in 1978. Her most important accomplishment during these
years was marrying her high school sweetheart, Dick, also a missionary
kid.
In 1983 Dick and Meg moved to Nigeria as
missionaries with SIM where our 2 kids were raised until 1996. They were very
involved in the Bible Study Fellowship classes which they helped to start.
Although Dick & Meg taught in a missionary kids' school, their primary duty
was to care for the kids as their substitute parents while they attended school
and their parents ministered in various remote locations. They also served in
some administrative roles during 13 years of ministry there.
In 1996 SIM asked that they move to Dallas, TX where Dick would become the South Central
Regional Director for SIM covering 5 states. They consider it a privilege to
serve in this strategic role of mobilizing new missionaries, partnering with
churches, encouraging missionaries while they are stateside, and stimulating
prayer throughout this region. Meg also has the privilege of serving the body of
Christ at Scofield as administrative assistant to Pastor Matthew St.
John.

Jonas' role as Pastor in Residence is to provide leadership and infuse energy into our Men's ministry and Communities of Bible Study . For five years, Jonas and his wife Greta have
contributed to the ministry of Scofield through the Two by Two,
New Horizons, Men's, Women's, and various other ministries.
Jonas recently graduated from Dallas Seminary where he studied
pastoral ministries. Both Jonas and Greta are passionate about building into others so
they become all that God desires. You often hear Jonas and Greta
talking about reaching out to their neighbors in Richardson, friends at
church, and the employees at Chik-fil-A. When asked,
you will find that one of their favorite verses is Matthew 5:16 where
Jesus teaches that "good works" given freely can be a great entrance
into the lives of those who do not yet know Jesus.
Jonas and Greta have two children, Zoe and Grover, and live in Richardson.

Rex has a growing passion to come alongside teens in order to help them understand the mission of God and to provide arenas for them to participate in the mission of God. His prayer for the student ministry at Scofield is that our faith and love would become effective as a result of the good things Christ has done in us for His glory.
Rex served as the youth pastor at Fairview Missionary Baptist Church in Minford, OH from 2003-2007. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Bible/Theology from Tri-State Bible College in South Point, OH, and he is currently pursuing a ThM at Dallas Theological Seminary.
He and his wife Aimee met at Scioto Hills Camp in Wheelersburg, OH in 2004 and were married in June of 2005. "My vision for life is to make the person of God big in the hearts and lives of His people and to make His awesome majesty known through music. He is worthy of all of our worship and praise. Not simply because of what He has done for us... but because of Who He Is."
Daniel is a native Texas hailing from Wichita Falls. He is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary (MA), Midwestern State University (BM) and post graduate vocal studies at the University of North Texas. He is married to Amy and they have twin daughters, Mary Kathryn and Hope born in 2004.
Constantly surrounded with music, worship and God's word at church he discovered the gift of music at an early age and it was a significant part of his life at church and school. During this time he felt God gently influencing his heart toward Christian service in music. In His faithfulness, God opened the door of opportunity and Daniel attended university where he studied voice and conducting earning a Bachelor of Music. After relocating to Dallas and while involved in post-graduate vocal studies, with the late Dr. Ed Baird from the University of North Texas, Daniel met his wife Amy while singing with the Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company. Hospitality Coordinator
214-349-6895
Jo An was born in China and lived in Hong Kong as a child until coming to America with her family. Her Grandpa had a laundry in El Dorado, Arkansas where she spent her teen years. God directed her to a Sunday School and Church where a retired teacher tutored her in English. Life was simple & sweet in a small town. While she was visiting an Aunt in Dallas, Jo An met Gene Yee. Three years later they were married and have raised four kids together. God lead them to serve in First Chinese Baptist Church where the whole family grew in their faith. After their kids left home, Gene & Jo An looked for a church closer to home where they could serve & fellowship. That’s how they found Scofield. Several years ago God took Gene to serve him in heaven. Jo An has prayed & asked God how she can serve Him with her gifts. She loves hospitality, food, and serving people. You see her every Wednesday evening helping out at the Wednesday FEAST.
We are grateful Jo An has agreed to use her gift of service here at Scofield on a part-time basis as our new hospitality coordinator. Jo An will coordinate all church events where hospitality is required. Hopefully she will have many willing helpers when she calls! Jo An would welcome any and all volunteers.
