Women

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2

Scofield Women’s Ministry strives to encourage and equip women to walk with God, to grow in relationship with Him, and to run after Christ. The Bible verse above, from the Apostle Paul, grasps the very heart of this vision.

“And do not be conformed to this world…” The world that we live in is a very confusing place and worldly culture is no friend to Christian living. We must embrace the life that Jesus calls us to walk with Him, pursuing His ways, which are very different than the ways desires of the world.

“… but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is…” Consider a beautiful tree. In order for the tree to grow and become the fullest version of itself, it must be constantly watered. In the same way our lives must be continuously watered with the truth of the Bible. In this way our minds are constantly being made new and our hearts shaped by God. He has a plan for each of us and that plan is revealed when we walk closely with him.

“…that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” The “good and acceptable and perfect” is God’s own Son – Christ. Jesus came for us. What a glorious and freeing truth! Jesus, the perfect one, came for us, to save us, and to live in us.

Scofield Church is given to compassionate ministry, unceasing prayer and authentic discipleship. Following Jesus in every aspect of our life, to know Him and to make Him known is the mainspring of our community.

Manna-Mug-N-Muffin

Also known as M3, Manna-Mug-N-Muffin is a bi-annual, Saturday morning event for women held each year in December and June. Women from all spectrum of life are welcome to attend – ages from 20’s-90’s, married, and single.

We believe that living for the Lord is slowing becoming a self-defined act of limited obedience among Christian women today. Perhaps it is out of stubbornness and selfishness or, because we don’t open our bibles and read HOW to live righteously for Him. At M3 we strive to get real, honest, truthful, and address issues with which women struggle. Our calling is to address these issues by biblical means learning to live through them walking with Christ. M3 is a place to receive encouragement, insight, and challenges in pursuit of living a God pleasing life.

Come prepared to laugh, to cry, to relate. Come if you are hurting, seeking, dying on the vine, oblivious, curious, or feeling lost. Come if you are strong in your faith and just need a holy nudge or, a mini retreat, just to get away with the Lord, and fellowship with other women.

“Manna” comes from Revelation 2:17a, which speaks of the “hidden manna” provided to him who overcomes. This is an image of the spiritual nourishment faithful believers and followers will receive. JESUS, is the bread of life. He provides spiritual nourishment that satisfies our deepest hunger! Our driving motto is, “Discipling Women to Live Righteously for Him.”

All the female speakers come with messages that are intended to encourage, build up, convict, equip, and speak bold truths in love! Our passion is that women walk away with courage – desiring to live closer to God and for His glory! Christian living is not easy as you know. God never promised that our life would be easy, but, He promises that we will never walk alone.
